This morning, the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises is holding a hearing to assess the alleged $50 billion investment fraud engineered by Mr. Bernard L. Madoff. This is the second in a series of hearings that will help to guide the work of the Financial Services Committee and the Capital Markets Subcommittee in the 111th Congress in undertaking the most substantial rewrite of the laws governing the US financial markets since the Great Depression. The SEC is a major fraud and congress should have revoked the SEC’s decision to allow the short sellers remove liquidity from the bid prices. The SEC are all being paid off to put the power into the hands of their contributers. they are a FRAUD and must be abolished before they trigger world war 3.

Tax payers need to start by firing everyone in Congress. Fire everyone in the state legislatures. Fire everyone at the local level. How else can you believe that your investments are safe. We now know, at every level, no one gave a damn about your 401(k) retirement funds savings college funds etc.. Maybe we’re just too stupid to survive. Listen to these guys preach. What have they actually done?

I can only imagine what the SEC new about Goldman Sachs and completely ignored. Oh but now they are trumping the alarms. The SEC was seduced by the free flowing money of the boom markets just as much as the large financial institutions. All of this really reveals the reality that too many people are too easily seduced by money. Large and small, educated or not.
