Middle-class families are looking for more than empty promises. They want to go back to work. And they want the Democrats who run Washington to stop pursuing a big government, big spending agenda that includes a government takeover of health care, stimulus bills, a new national energy tax and taxpayer-funded bailouts. The recent elections in Massachusetts, Virginia, and New Jersey have shown that voters aren’t buying this rhetoric, and in November well see voters aren’t buying it either.
I am ashamed to be a Democrat. More than that, I have come to fear my own party. Hatred and corruption - the roots of fascism - are on the march in America as they have never been before, and leading this march is the Democratic Party. Increasingly, mainstream Democrats are uncomfortable with what we see in our party. We may not have a real name for it, but we know it is dangerous.
The Obama camp has acknowledging that Barack Obama lied about his abortion voting record on the born-alive bill.
The New York Sun reported that Obama’s campaign has admitted that the senator voted against giving medical care to babies born alive after an abortion attempt, a fact that the campaign originally dismissed as a “smear.” The reality behind the Obama rhetoric is that he “worked against efforts” to ban the gruesome practice of leaving babies who survived failed abortions to die.

So because they are lazy, you will give them “free” healthcare? How can that possibly make sense… And they are getting involved, the overwhelming majority is refusing it, because like it or not, americans get what the freemarket is about more than any other society. It is precisly why the government attemps to distort reality and try to push the blame that way, because the free market is the opposite of government. Free market is freedom. Goverment is violence. Someday you’ll hit rock bottom.

your company has to pay for your insurance or penalized.
However,
if it cost $40,000 to cover you, and $3000 penalty a year to not have you covered, it makes more sense to NOT PAY, and just pay the fines.

USA can afford it? The last time I checked they were 100 trillion dollars in debt.
They have to be turning private, there’s no alternative. Government run healthcare is a fraud and a farce. It begs for scarcity, overexpenses. Without mentionning how the government is NOTHING BUT a monopoly on violence. you’ll never make me beleive violence can improve my health. That just does not happen. You’ll never make me beleive that not producing, and overpaying for services will bring in ressources, more medication, more services, more health workforce. It’s just not reality.
ok so i am german and i can tell you you’re wrong. what changes with our new neo-liberal government now is basically just that poor people will have to pay more cause they won’t pay in relation to their income anymore but and average…
even if we turn a little towards private insurance more now (not in general anyways) we still have the same system, that nakes health care available to everyone and there’s no problem with it, well at least not the problems americans have…
it’s not suppose to be ” THE ONLY WAY”…USA can afford to give free health care but they chose not to, because the moment they stop it, the politicians will stop recieving their shares..if cuba(3rd world country) can provide free health care, why can’t USA??? Canada and France also have free Health care…USA’s health care system is corrupted..
Pay a lot of money to the politicians to save a lot more rather than paying millions of insurance owners. Minimize the cost by denying paying for health care and maximize profits by obliging the citizens to buy fraud defective insurance..

I think you might want to look further into it from a freemarket point of view. I tried to look at it the socialist way, and all it did was scare me even more. If you garantee healthcare, more people will access it than planned. Less people will take care of their own health, because the government does it for them. You’ll only lower the living standards and you won’t realize it because the FDA loves to use bunk statistics. It also forces companies to charge more because of high risk individuals

you’re just missing the essence here. anyways the market is dominated by very few huge pharma-copmanies. futhermore how is “choice” reduced? public option or not: you can choose your doctor. in fact in without the public option the choice is even lower, only the rich can choose.
Regulations reduce choice. Choice increase competition. Accountability increases competition, and add a hell of a lot of risk The fact that you take a shit every now and then affects the freemarket, proof is, companies make money from making products to wipe your ass with. Everything uses resources, and everything has a margin of utility. Denying this is denying praxeology. What you fail to see is that you either have the free market, or government involvement (which is nothing but violence)

I’m POSITIVE many more people are suffering in other countries around the globe. America is one of the greatest countries in the world, the government isn’t responsible for every citizen’s well-being here. there is no free market for operations and the one thing the pharmaindustry is not interested in is lowering prices… i mean this has nothing to do with the free market really. we’re not talking about stock or whatsoever….

With the free market. It has lowered costs up until government got involved with the whole process, which skyrocketted the prices in the first place. But yea, nobody talks about that, no, just give them more power, let’s see if doing the same thing over and over and over has a different effect this time.
